Default Making Stock Raptor Exhaust Loud!?!

I have heard that I can remove the spark arrestor from my stock raptor exaust and it will be louder. How will it sound with this being removed? Will it sound really horrible? I am considering this as a temporary solution till i can afford a nice slipon

Try to give me some detail about what it may sound like. Like can it sound ok>?

I hate how they sound with the baffel removed. The best sounding pipe IMO is Rossier.

he isnt talking about removing the baffle just the spark arrestor. i havent heard a rappy with it off but the 450r sounds really nice. the best thing about that is try it and if you dont like it put it back on

It sounds fine and has a deeper tone to it and not all that much louder.

But I take it that there is no way to make it sound anywhere near aftermarket exhaust? Oh well

To make the stocker louder and all you could always cut it down in length.

Good luck replacing the packing in the stock Raptor exhaust. That is one thing I like about it, there is realy no maintenance to be done on it. I have the S/A out of my Raptor, and I like the way it sounds. It's easy to get out, just get an 8mm socket and take the tiny bolt out of the bottom. The pull it out. You might have to get some pliers and try twisting it out, sometimes they are in there kinda tight. You might have to mess with the jetting a bit though if you take it out, but that isn't too bad. Just go for it and decide for yourself, If you don't like it, put it back in and wait till you can afford aftermarket.

Sounds like a good idea, but when I removed my airbox lid, yea it sounded much beefier, but when i got to the high RPM, it was like someone had pulled the hand brake on??? watch out you dont run it too lean and seize the engine.
I advise doing it properly an asking your local dealer what sized jet you need to do these mods.
