Had my 1st accident :(
Sorry to hear about that accident, i did kinda the same thing once on my Blaster, i was going up my driveway and when i came up over the top of the hill (we have a long steep driveway) i did a wheelie and it went a little too far, i rode the grab bar for about 50 feet, maybe more and then when it stopped I got off and pushed it back down on the front tires. Kinda scary but a good lesson, i didnt try that again, lol. The grab bar got a little scratched up but that was all, i guess i was lucky. I have a feeling yamaha designs the grab bars to a certain length for these kinds of "adventures".

A guy I work with hopped onto his 400ex (with out his helmet on) and wanted to show his buddies how he could wheelie down the street. He did a few wheelies and rode it to the end of the street to park it. He goosed it on the curb of his front lawn and the quad came out from under him throwing him off and hitting his head on a the curb. He jacked himself up BAAAADD!!! 3 months in the hospital plus a bunch more for rehab. A 2x2 inch section had to be cut out of his skull to relieve pressure to the brain (to minimize brain damage). He is just now speaking in complete sentances (slowly) and is expected to be in outpatient rehab for years to come. This is a guy with 20+ years of riding/racing experience. Stuff happens...wear a helmet!!
