Put a seat cover on?
If you are only going to do one seat cover every 5 years then I don't think it's worth doing yourself. Appolstery shops will install for around $20 in Calif.
If you do want to do it right yourself then you need a compressor and a good professional air staple gun.
Don't try and go cheap on the gun. We have tried the cheapos and no good.
We staple the front first then put a few in the back temporarily. Then slowly stretch and heat with hair dryer to take out wrinkles and work your way from front to rear. Now when you are near the rear pull the temp. staples and re-staple around the back. After a couple screw ups you will be doing better than the professionals.
