The specs are on a label under the seat next to the battery. I have seen this problem before, valves go tight.

 

Sorry to be a pain but.....can you describe the procedure for measuring and adjusting the valve lash? I have a feeler gauge, opened the caps, but from there....I'm lost.

 

i have a raptor 80 and its only a year old i havent changed plugs (i probably should) but they have fouled only twice.And now it will turn over and act like it will start but it doesn so i push start it in 3rd gear. i am gonna have someone fix it so i will tell u what the problem is.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

Valve lash for those that still have spark. My sons 80 would need the intake valve adjusted about every 20 hours or so then it would start right up again. I have sold it though and the manual went with it, I don't remember the procedure to be able to explain correctly.

 

Adjusting the valve lash was fairly easy, just make sure that you have a gauge that has a bend in it. The bike fired right up and has been running well since.
