IS a 155 main richer than a 150 main? I'm running a 150 main and it seems like it's running alittle rich I am just curious

Are you sure it's a little rich? 155 is a richer jet then 150...the next size down would be either 145 or 147.5.....145 is stock jetting...so take that for what its worth.

well it's not like loading up or anything but like when I go wide open it pops alittle bit and when I let off from going wide open it pops but now that I think about it it sounds lean Because I have a filter and powercore so surely 150 is not to much but I have 155 and 160 mains left from the jet kit so I may need to go up some. It also idles better when I put the choke on a little bit

Yes the 155 is richer the higher the jet number the more richer it is. I also find it strange that is running rich if you still suspect its running rich run a 147.5 like warriorman said but if you go stock for me thats on the lean side its all trial and error check the color of the spark plug and adjust accordingly maybe the above sea level may be affecting this.

Just a theory....better to run rich and not run perfect...then run lean blow it up.

Check your plug....If it's tan your jetting is right on and the popping is from something else.
If it's black....most likely your too rich
If it's as white as when you put it in or barely any tan color...your too lean.

Way better to be too rich then too lean anyday. Check your plug and let us know...but it sounds like your too lean.

4wheelsc are you running it with no airbox lid? if not remove it and see how it runs its hard to find a good balance between airflow and fuel.

this might be stupid but, why would one want to change the jetting on one's bike/quad.

Lol because it gives you more power and help it to run right when you add a new aftermarket pipe it is recommended that you rejet when you have a aftermarket exhaust so you wont have problems and makes the bike run smoother and stronger.
