Here is my question- Why can't it be simple, such as .030 over, or .30 over would make a 350 into a 380? I know nothing about boring, so please, bare with me!

the .030 is a measurement of the material taken out of the cylinder wall. It is therefore the size in which the piston must increase in order to properly seal. It means that .030 thickness of material has been removed from the cylinder.

and .010 over equals .25mm larger piston. so if you are .030 over the bore of the banshee would be 64.75mm while the stock bore is 64mm.

here is the formula I like to use:
1/2bore x 1/2bore x stroke x pi x number of cylinders

I'll plug in the numbers this time:
3.2375 x 3.2375 x 6.4 x 3.14 x 2 = 355.44544875

I'm 15.
