Default k&n clamp on or foam clamp on

whats the real difference in performance ? i now run k/n now, but am considering going foam for better protection. would there be a noticable performance loss by doing so.thanks

Default k&n clamp on or foam clamp on

probably not

It depends on what type of conditions you ride in

like dust, puddles, sand

the K&N will offer less protection in dust and water
but will offer fine protection in the sand (with outerwear attached)

I Have 2 foam filters and 1 K&N,,,and I use them based on what mother nature throws at me

i am looking into a foam clamp on for my 450... gonna give it a try... although the k&n seems to do fine even with the water and sand i often travel through... (with outer wear)
