I was at work today when I get a call from my nieghbor telling me that there was somone trying to steal my Banshee today. They parked in a pasture about 500yds. from my house and went through the woods and came up behind my house where I keep my bikes. Total there was my Banshee(tricked out), 85 ATC 250R, two honda 110's, my 87 yamaho moto-4, and one of my customers warrior. I have a theft deturent device on my banshee the keeps the clutch engaged so it won't go anywhere even when you put it in gear, unless you have the key to remove the device. So they rolled it about 50ft. into the woods on thier way to thier truck, when my nieghbor saw the truck with a trailer gate down and knew somthing was up. She wrote down there tag number and they saw her and rolled my four wheeler back into my yard. The police caught them and they said they were just looking for a four wheeler to ride. I guess that is why they tried to steal the only one that the key wasn't in, the trikes don't even need keys. They are both 18 years old and I know they didn't actually get mine but for all you guys out there that have had your quad stolen I am currently pressing charges for trespassing and attempted grand larseny. They both have already confessed to being the ones who were here. The bad things is that whenever they get through paying fines or serving time, whatever happens, they will have a little extra coming from me and my buddies.

I sugguest you bring your neighbor a dozen roses, her husband a case of beer and buy them a dinner out.

 

You are lucky you have neighbors that keep there eyes open for stuff like that. My stepdad had his banshee stolen out of our on garage when he was at work. It probably got parted out on ebay since it needed a top end when it got stolen.

 

I talked to a friend of mine and he said that if they moved it as little as 1 foot off of my property, which they did, that I could press charges for grand larseny instead of just attempted grand larseny. I will check into it tomorrow.
