lots of time and parts but it shouldnt be to hard to fix. After removing broken cam chain, youll need to go in through the right hand side of the motor, do a compression test to check for bent valves. If the comp is good then replace the chain and re-time the cam timing. Peice of ****.

Because the piston more than likely hit the valves.

I would pull the head, your probably going to need valves and it will be easier to put in the new chain. You need to remove the left side case and more than likely the flywheel, I have gotten the timing chain off and back on tho without removing the flywheel.

Good God, There is no way that it's going to be easy to fix. From what I understand when the chain breaks that will cause piston to come up and smash the valves when there open. That ether bends them over to get smashed into the head again, or they will get blasted up in the the intake or exhaust manifold to do more damage there. I could be missing somethings but I'm pretty sure that the motor has to be completly rebuilt when this happens.
Good Luck...

You need to get a service manual...this is not shooting in the dark...you are going to have time the engine again...valves WILL be ruined or at least cupped. unless by some chance you were able to get the motor to stop spinning as soon as the damage occured.
