ride report DWC 686
#1
I love it, got it done on friday and rode it around by my house on the street, it is a torque monster standing up and leaning over the bars it will still wheelie. I had to re jet down to Dyno Jet 160/165 mains on saturday it seemed to rich. went riding on sunday and it felt really strong all over but had a small bauble off idle, so took it apart on the trail and replaced my pilots with all I had 30's, felt good and pulled real hard but still not good on the bottom, I need to get 25's and try about 3 turns out and think it will be good then. Anyway it blew the spark arrestor almost off of my DMC Alien, so took it off(broke it off cause the washers were bowed over the nuts) and oh my god that woke it up sick, I was climbing hills in fourth and flying up them in third the bottom end was still jickey but the mid and top are incredible, it pulls hard in every gear and does not quit!! It finally blew the whole end out of the exhaust so I had to go find it, which i did, I'll rivet it into place. at the end of the day I got up on the dirt road and raced my friends on their banshees. One is ported and polished with toomeys and a cool head, he is faster than everybody else we know,I got about a bike and half on him through fourth gear and when I hit 5th he catches up and passes me, I killed a 2004 banshee that was just piped and a K&N. this raptor is very fast and very strong...Total spent for the full DMC exhaust, K&N filter, DynoJet kit and extra jets, Degree Key, port and polish, valve job and new valves, piston rings and gaskets, and all machine work only comes to a total of $1099.00. So in short this was money very well spent, and for all those who dog Pat on his port work, you can shut up now this head flows amazing, if it blows the end of my pipe out it has good flow<<<<<DWC 686 raptor is on the prowl.....
