This may sound a little dumb (comparing a snowmobile to a quad), but do you think a ZR600 could hang with a Banshee?

I thought pistons burnt from running a sled to lean, I thought EFI eliminated this. With carbs I know you have to jet them for different temps.

I could not even begin to think about what the speeds are...I live right near where the local grass drags are held...we ride our quads up to the top of a hill and sit and watch from there. I do know that my banshee would not have a chance....I bet there is some custom banshee out there with a cranking engine that could do it.
But it is amazing how fast those sleds pick up speed....I have a 600revho. My banshee would not stand a chance against it. Granted my quad is not the biggest beast out there...but it does have pipes and such.
I do know that I moved the sled from the garage to the barn the other day and now my wife is ticked because I layed a 20ft patch out by the barn. I thought she wanted a flower bed there.

Phatcat: From the looks of your sig...you have a couple of sleds in the stable. That cat should be a good runner? In my opinion...I think your zr would run a banshee.

there is some triples piped drag sled that crank some serious power during those races,,a properly xcr will put out around 210 hp at 9600 on a summer day no problem, you can't imaginw how LEAN those engines are capables of running in very hot temp,,,very efficient motor.

yeah...the sled would no questions asked.. rape that banshee...those things have amazing acceleration and topspeed..my buddies 700 skidoo, would easily do 130mph...and it will get there in about 10 seconds..its freaky fast....but, if you run it in summer, u gotta have a way to cool it, i.e. pump ice cold water thourgh the engine, becuase the cooling fins are under the seat, and that were the snow getts trapped to cool it down...we have grass drags were i live and its awesome watchin them rip down the field at 100mph in no time flat...after the day is done...the starting point, has a like ft deep hole dug in the mud from the sleds lol..but yeah...sled in the sand proballly would go decent if it had the right size paddles...jjust my .02

There are alot and i mean alot of Banshees outhere that could spank a ZR 600 in a 300ft drag race.As for the 700cc Ski-doo hitting 130mph it better have alot of mods done to it and i am not talking about a set of pipes here...The 700cc will top out at 105-110mph on a radar depending on conditions and the lenght of the run.
