Default Best suspension for Banshee

I have my motor pretty much where I want it on my shee but now the suspension is in dire need of upgrading. I am going to go with +2 A-arms and a wider axle as well as braided brake lines. I think for now I will just have the rear shock rebuilt for my weight. I guess what I am asking is does it matter which brand of a-arms I go with. Which shocks should I go with up front. For the front shocks, A-arms, rear axle and brake lines I would like to stay under $1400. I ride sand dunes and desert. What will be the most bang for the buck. Oh, I am about 6'3" and 215#'s. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

I did exactly what your thinking of doing....but I shortened the swingarm one inch at the same time.

The first set of arms I tried were Krypton(ep) strong arms....they looked great and seemed to work just fine for around $450 including the rods...but you have to reem the spindle.

I now use lonestar arms and swing. ( I guess I'm picky..I wanted the arms to match the swingarm, and my friend needed the ep arms.)

I wanted to go a semi cheap route as well...so for suspension I chose the works triple rates for the front...and ultracross for the rear. They are a bit cheaper than elkas or pep..and seem to perform just fine for a recreational user. I jump mine and ride the whoops with no problems.

I think you may have trouble doing all the work you mentioned for 1400 .....it will be close to 1200 for the suspension alone(700 for just the fronts)...then add around another 500 for the arms depending on which way you go. That does not include the extra 700 for the new swingarm.

best banshee dune shocks are TCS, their $750. But you wont be able to get a-arms and shocks under $1400, if you want good shocks. You can get works triple rate with compression, their $425 for front. Then a-arms, you can get lsr or legaer. That will be about $1400, lsr+2 arms, works triple rate front shocks. It will be another $450 for rear shock.
