He wont even get that. Polaris' lag a little after you nail it then they pick up.
How many Polaris ATV's do you own? If the rider had the SLIGHTEST idea on how the clutch system worked and how the machine was set up and where his clutch engagement was, then there would be no "lag" on take off.

Actually because of being belt drive, poolaris quads do take like 1.379 seconds to actually take off, I have counted on my super stock xpress.

If you have a 660, you will beat him, unless its in mud. I raced my dad, on the express, me on the raptor, and I creamed him, and when we switched the results were the same. I also beat my friends scrambler 500, with the express, and the raptor.

Thats why you load the clutch before you take off. Like I said, you have to understand how your machine really works and is set up. Hold the brake and bring the RPMs up to just before the clutch engages then nail it. NO LAG!

It would depend on the riding conditions. Are you dragging in mud? If so then the Scrambler will destroy the Raptor. If your dragging on pavement I know that the Raptor will win for sure.

god i cant believe people are even trying to defend their scramblers.. people these quads are 500 lbs, 500cc, belt driven, auto tranny that is meant to the go fast trail rider. the raptor is a dohc 660cc, 398 lbs, chain driven, 5 speed auto that is meant to go REALLY fast. Why do you think aftermarket performance parts are so easy to get on the raptor. cuz the thing is a RACE quad unlike the scrambler. im going to go build myself a Craycraft 585 scrambler.

I NEVER said the scrambler would beat the 660 raptor. Where do you get that idea? I said that it had a good chance with the 350 raptor (warrior). What I was talking about was how the so called "clutch lag" that was mentioned. And by the way, the Raptor is a SOHC, not a DOHC. And, the Scrambler is ALSO a chain driven quad. And since when is the Raptor a 5 speed auto? You make no sense.!!
