Absolutely same gearing, same rpm on identical quads will = same speed, what i cant agree with is this;

weight, and wind resistance has little to do with top speed
Now that a really stupid statement.

I agree with the guy who said bolt a 4x8 piece of plywood to the Z, and see how fast it goes. Better yet, strap a v-8 engine block to the quad and see how fast it goes. There you will have 2 tests to test your top speed, kid. My Prairie has way more HP than your Z, and I can only hit 71 MPH, and I don't even come close to hitting the rev limiter. There is a reason for this. My wind resisitance is way more than your Z, and my quad weighs over 600 pounds. Why don't you take this entire thread to your physics teacher(if you have one) and show it to him, and let us know what he says. You are about the most ignorant poster I have ever ever seen(Notice I said Ignorant, not stupid). Get your facts straight, KID, before you spout off.

So you guys are saying that if i put an elephant on a 300ex, and the throttle was completely pegged, lets say on a dry lake bed. It would go just as fast as a 100 lbs rider on an exact same 300ex? I mean, it must be right, right? i think one factor some of you guys are leaving out is that the tires may be deflating with a given amount of weight on them, this can greatly cut down on top speed. I may be wrong, but it makes sense to me...

Plus, if you have a large amount of weight on a quad, it still could be revving at it rev limiter, but it could also at the same time be burning the clutch. If my statement/s are wrong, let me know...

No one except CraZ400 says that.

If this 300EX was able to take the elephant the SAME RPM's as the 100lb kid, then yes. But since it would never able to, this would never happen.

Look at gearing calculators. They ask 3 things, rev limiter, tire size, and gearing. The three variables that matter assuming the quad was able to perform with one object on it compared to another.

Those calculators only calculate speed on paper. You HAVE to factor in wind and rolling resistance, on the latter, weight plays a large part.

Enough with the numbers though, fastest is obviously shee, in accel and top speed. About strongest i dont know what that means, but if it might in any way be linked to torque, the kfx has more low rpm torque.
man i didn't know a kfx400 went 64mph stock,that means my rap 350 is only about 3-4mph slower!!!!A kfx 400 stock runs about 68-70 mph stock.

i got an idea why dont you take 2 z's stock strap a peuce of plywood to the front of one and the other leave normal with out teh wodo and see which will win in a rasce simple solution

Well i just got done reading all of the post in this topic and needless to say everyone one of you **** me off. For one i know for a FACT z/kfx goes faster then 64 BECAUSE i have clocked a STOCK 400EX at 65 which if all of you know your stuff the z/kfx is faster then a 400EX. Besides that I’ve hear from many many people z/kfx goes at least 70 and those HP numbers are way off for the z/kfx 26 HP now come on get real. And this talk of physics and stuff CraZ or whatever your name is, who in the hell cares you people got way away from the topic of this post

There’s to many of you 2-stroke loyalist, get with the times.i don't hate 2-stroke hell I’d take one, but now days the 4-strokes aren't slow. They’re getting faster and faster every year. The 4-strokes are getting a lot more efficient now days and their starting keep up with the 2-strokes.

But anyways i would say the banshee is faster then the KFX400. i have no clue what your talking about with strength though
