700 cc banshe?
He means would it have the same power as a 700cc four stroke (I think...). Yes and no. There are more variables. Spreading the displacement out over more cylinders helps too, after a certain point. I dont know where the best place to upgrade is though. The TZ250 is a highly tuned twin 250 two stroke and makes ~70 or more hp, so it might be south of 125 for a 2 stroke. . A 700cc single four stroke will not touch a 350cc twin two stroke. If the 700 were a twin though, it might stand a chance. Just like a 660cc raptor engine could NEVER touch an R6 motor, even though the R6 motor is smaller. In general though, if both have equal technology invested, equal engine layout, a two stroke will have double the power of a fourstroke of equal size. Also, everyone always whines that two strokes have no torque. But they are comparing them to much larger fourstrokes. Compare the raptor to an ATK700 and see which one feels more torquey

Not at all. A 700cc single 2 stroke will kill the 350 twin. I don't think I've ever seen or heard of a 700cc single. 2-strokes generally have very little low end torque so they have twins to make a little more low end. 2 of my 3 snowmobiles have twins. The exception is a 270cc single; and the reason for it being a single is that it's small enough. Anything over 300cc is usually a twin.

Thats pretty interesting....
a raptor is 660cc's. an R6.... 599cc's.
The R6's motor makes somewhere around 3 times the HP...
because its spread over 4 cylinders. (with very short stroke for super high RPM)
All this sportbike talk makes me wanna go ride my R1 !!!!
Speaking of this.. maybe they could put the R1 motor into a raptor chassis?
I dont think this is very practical considering the R1 will go about 20MPH faster in 1st gear (of 6)
than the raptor will in its TOP gear. (R1 goes somewhere over 90MPH in 1st gear)
ahhh the possibilities......
