Banshee mods
#1
Almost stock banshee (no "mods" worth mentioning) is looking (and feeling) like it needs a little something to spice it up. I'm getting toomey t-6's as soon as i save up the cash, but i was wondering what else i should get, stuff in the $200 range is what im looking for. I'm going to get some nerfs (i was thinking either AC with heel guards or Tusk with IMS heel guards), a filter and maybe a new airbox and a k&n powerlid.
I dont know whether to get a k&n filter or UNI-filter or what, but i ride in a lot of dusty trails in addition to dunes so i need good protection, i have always heard that k&n's arent good in dust so I was thinking of sticking with a foam filter of some kind. Also, would i need a new airbox or different style of filter (instead of the stock one that needs the lid to hold it on) to use a powerlid? Would a powerlid or outerwears lid be better dust and dirt protection than the standard airbox lid?
Another question: what is the dB output of t-6's? The oregon dunes limit is 93 i think, i know i could get away with more but i dont want it to be insane like 100 or more.

If you dont ride in mud wich you dont seem to do get some clamp on air filters either K&Ns with some outerwears or there are some foam clamp ons available too, just cant remember who makes them.Clamp ons will witstand an occasionnal splash of water without any problems whatsoever and they make jetting your Shee a real breeze...
