RaptorFam are you still using the stock CDI box? I noticed when you are shifting the engine lugs down!!! I have the same set up as your but with a 12:1 piston and I am shifting at 10500 rpm! Get a Dyna cdi box from Bob and you should put another one or two lengths and your dad's Spark bike if not more!!!!

 

Hey RAPFAM coooool vids...I have a question for ya though...I was at the Cinders before Memorial weekend and my Raptor only made it about 3/4 of the way up 50 dollar hill...There were some guys playin over on 100 dollar hill on Raptors that were smokin up that hill....What the heck is wrong....is it my jetting...I run a r4 slip on with a k&n and 13 40 gears and went down to a 135/140 jet...should i go lower still????[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

ernie - yeah I still have the stock CDI, my dad just upgraded to the DYNA ignition, and I could tell he was faster. Just got to cough up some $ for it, that will be my next upgrade.

 

italian stallion - to run good in the cinders it depends on a lot of things. Tires? paddles or knobbies and size - do you have the 01' tranny? $50 hill, are you talking about the one on the back side of $100? jetting sounds fine, are you bogging at all and what gas are you running and color of tailpipe of exhaust? We are geared lower with you with the 02' trannys which means even lower, we are at 12/43, my sister is at 12/44 with her 01' and can pull out of $100 on occasion with KNOBBIES.

 

Rapfam- I forgot that you were running thru the stock CDI box. You need to rev another 1500 rpms min over what the stock box is peaking at
