i saw a post about turbo quads racing n i was thinking do they make a kit or do i have to make another custom pat outa one from a car??

KMS. You may want to talk to the DS guys. A few of them run the turbos. You can do it with a carb, but thats why they also make the EFI kit. Makes it much better

 

not for my quad n too much $$

i can put a freakin streetbike motor in for way cheaper

 

They have different kits available. But yes, it is a lot of $$$$$ but is a great way to make LOTS of power on the motor that came in the machine

 

wut about gettin one outa an old rx7 or something.....i can get em real cheap

i take it i will have to set the psi real low

 

if u did that u'd ahve to custom fit and fabricate al lthe piping and have custom parts built... it would b prolly alot more money and less reliability... cuz it's older even if it was rebuilt

 

i can make it fit so ez

get expansion chamber to the turbo + 1 peice of pipe
turbo to silencer =new brackets on other side of rear end n some piep work
ez to mount

but where whould i want to put the boost into.......where boost bottles go....right before carb........idk

n for the yfz its even ezer
one pipe to turbo one pipe out.....some welding to mae braket.....n dats it

teh real problem is risking something like this on my babies...........maybe i shold use the kit bc i knwo they alrady been tested

 

well if i sold my quad i can get a banhsee with 121hp witht eh money from the quad and the money that woulda been used for the turbo........

then again i love my quad............
ill wait till theres a cheaper kit
