Did Vito's know what you were putting it on? Just wandering if they had set it up for you, or if it's just a standard carb with the dial a jet. Revving to the moon sounds like either an air leak, throttle cable not in correctly, or idle screw turned in way too much. But flooding out after revving up doesnt make any sense. Did it spill any gas out of the overflow tube like the float was stuck or too high? I would go back and recheck all the basics. If they didnt set it up for you then the pilot could be too small to cause it to rev (too lean), but the flooding just doesnt jive.

ya i did carbs many times b4 n i cant get it to work right
im sending it back to get cheaked out
i did try rejettin, mixture screw, cables, leaks, n so on
