i have surfed the board for awhile, and i really want to get a bike.
i want to start off with something decent used, and if i really like it buy new.

where is a good place to buy used bikes?
what do i look for on them to tell if they are beat to crap?

 

If you mean online, a good place, at least to look is atv trader. Just curious, do you know what model you're looking for? Certain bikes are better bought new than used anyway, because there have not been a lot of years of production so used ones cost only like 500 bucks less than new ones.

 

atvtrader is pretty good

dont be in a huge hurry to buy,,,,,wait for the right deal to come along

When you find a particular bike you might be interested in,,,come on here and do a little research,,,lots of helpful people.

ebay is a good place. another would be michigan auto & rv magazine.

 

Ebay is great. I just bought another bike there and saved about $600-$800 over what any dealer here would do. Be very carefull who you buy from. Research their history and make sure their feedback is genuine. Alot of scammers buy a ton of little things to build up their feedback. Good luck
