Could be old gas, have you tried draining the tank and putting in fresh gas?
Next time it runs sluggish, pull the choke on, If it improves, then youre too lean. If it gets worse, its too rich.
Air filter cleaned, and freshly oiled?

try unscrewing the gas cap after it starts to feel sluggish... see if there's a pressure release....

I went outside and tried unscrewing the cap and it seem to make no difference in how it ran thanks for the info though it helps to eliminate stuff.

hmmmmmm

check the output of the coil when cold and then do the same when hot. something simmilar happened to me once with a street bike and it turned out to be the coil. as soon as it warmed up a little it died all together on mine. i talked to a fellow that had his cut the output by about half.

I guess I'm not real sure how to do that. just for info I have been outside playing with it a little I removed the air box and the filter then took it for a ride and I think that made a diff. I'm not sure what to do know because I need the air filter to keep the dirt out
