I got the Alba race pipe and it does have an open end.
It is VERY loud. So loud I ordered 12 discs and a Supertrapp end cap to quiet it down enough so I could ride it without getting a headache. Still have the open cap. Doubt if i will ever put it back on.

 

Alba is coming out with a quiet cap for their pipes in the next 30 days. I love my Alba pipe, it's a little loud 102db but the new cap will get it down to 95db...call Alba for info they are super helpful.

 

I love my Alba, on the Raptor. Right now I'm running drag headers, but anytime someone thinks of a full system, I always recommend the alba.

 

the loudness dont really bother me i mean i dont care if its loud or not i just want a non disk open ned pipe that has a good troaty sound and somr extra h.p. would be nice i love the trinity on our z400 its the best sounding exhaust on the market that i have ever heard so i want sumthin that will build th h.p. of that pipen and have a good sound but i know no sohc motor is goign to put out the thumpin throaty sound of a dohc motor
