Dan250, the Belray Gearsaver I was talking about which is made specifically for 2 stroke trannys is 85W.

u use belray in all my quads

 

1500 cc/ml. If you buy motul or belray it is in 1000 cc/ml bottles (just bigger than a quart). It takes one and a half of them per oil change.

 

I also use the Honda Pro. I started putting 2 quarts in after I welded the clutch rod and ball. I have yet to find any downside to using 2 quarts and it makes it virtually impossible to weld the rod and ball.

Welding your ball and rod is a term that means the ball that is between the rod and the clutch adjuster gets so hot they melt together.

 

And this happens when you hold the clutch in for long periods of time while revving the engine.

 

my opinion is to stay with dino oils ,change more often.synthetics have fu@ked me before with slipping on an otherwise good clutch setup(resulting in a rollover,about 6 or 7 times to be exact!) i use the honda pro in the red bottle. my 2 cents.........im out[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
