Default Banshee Tranny?

How come when I shift from neautral to first it makes a sound like somthing hit in the transmition and the quad jumps a little bit. I have the clutch pulled all the way to the handlebar, maybe that is to far and i should pull it less?

do you have any mods?? its normal, i hope because all of ours do it too.Its just creep, and it might be because of the tranny fluid you run.

All of the Banshees I've been on, even the ones with override trannies do it. Must be the nature of the beast.

For some reason banshee clutches won't totally disengage. If you sit in gear with the clutch in, it will build up a LOT of heat. Many times when you take off after a long period of sitting in gear with the clutch in, it will kill the motor because it won't slip at all. When I pull up to the line during a flattrack or drag race, I shift into neutral and coast to the line. I sit in neutral until a couple seconds before the light turns and then I shift into first. This makes a world of difference. Try it sometime. Sit for 30 seconds or so in first gear with the clutch in then try to shift into neutral. It will be hard or almost impossible because the clutch is trying to turn the tranny. Then after your clutch has cooled down, try it after only sitting 3-4 seconds.

Any way, my point is the clutch is still trying to turn the tranny so that why it lurches when dropped in gear.
