I hope they dont bring it back as a 4, that would be demeaning for the original and then whenever I said I have a shee, I would have to say its the 2-stroke. No reingineered banshee could ever make the same impact the original one did. Every 2 stroke atv over 50cc's is going to be cut. That thing you heard about them making some rule to keep shees out of riding areas is bull. They may have noise restrictions that the banshee might eventually not be able to comply with which might make it so that you cant take it everywhere, but they have some restrictions like that already.

I dont mean to offend you, but I will use you as an example as to how many atvers arent even aware that the environmentalists are winning the fight against two-strokes. Yes they sell a lot and I'm sure yamaha is none too happy about getting rid of two of its top sellers, shee and blaster, but they're being forced to because of a new law effective december 31, 2005.

think of it this way.. instead of focusing all the time on 2 strokes more focus is gonna be made on 4 strokes and it will be better for everyone.. you have seen hondas new 4 stroke wave runner right?? its got a turbo built in to make up for the lack of the 2 stroke power..

Just thought of something, does this ban affect two-stroke snowmobiles at all? I dont think it does and I'm glad of that but it seems really unfair to me, why should they be let off?

From what I have heard and understand, Yes it does effect the snowmobiles and dirtbikes.... I have heard that some snowmobile manufacturers are working on pipes that will make them enviornmentally friendly so that they can still manufacture them.... The law isnt actually against 2-strokes it is against the amount of exhuast levels that these machines put out.... The law is basically making the companies spend a ton of money to redesign the exhaust systems or discontinue the model.... in snowmobile cases it is less expensive to redesign the exhaust than to manufacture a whole new machine... but with atv's and dirtbikes theey already have 4-stroke models easier to just eliminate the 2-stroke models..... I am sure I will be corrected if I have been misinformed....
