Default Which way do you slip the timing chain on a Raptor?

I just bumped the Raptor up to a 686 and it runs pretty good but it has trouble starting. I went by the TDC mark in the engine case and lined up all the markings right on the cam sprocket but I think its advanced a link. Which way should I spin the sprocket to retard the timing one link?

If this doesn't work then I guess I burned up the starter. It really didn't want to start when I first got it all back together but I figured that it was because of the new rings and fresh hone. It will start up occasionally but it sounds like it just doesn't have enough juice to turn the engine over most of the time. It takes a couple tries when its in neutral but sometimes it just starts right up.

With the timing cover off see what dirrection the chain runs and take the cam BACK one tooth from that point.....be carfull - so you know it is not timed right?
