Put that 250F dirtbike engine in the Blaster.

Wait, did someone say ONLY 3 sport bikes.

It wasn't that long ago and the Banshee, Blaster and Warrior were the only Yamaha Sport Quads.

Raptor 660
Raptor / Warrior - whatever they call that new 350 now
YFZ450

They really only need something to replace the Blaster and I have got to think that I'm not the first one to think that the 250F engine in the Blaster Chassis would be a sweet set-up. I hope they keep the Blaster name though. I think they have enough quads with the Raptor name on them (Raptor, Raptor 80 and Raptor 350. Common - couldn't come up with a different name? Even the YFZ450 - YZ450F??!!. I kinda like the old names: Blaster, Banshee, Warrior, etc. but, that is another topic.)

Believe it or not, it's gonna happen. If the motorcycle industry is anything like the auto one I think Yamaha has to keep making stock parts for them for 10 years after production. Also there are sooo many aftermarket companies out there that make parts for them you shouldnt have any trouble at all!

They will be banning ALL 2 strokes (cept maybe weedwacker or chainsaw engines). I heard you will still be able to buy the 2 stroke dirtbikes if you plan on racing closed circuit ONLY, if you don't have proof of this you wont be able to get one at all, and they will be in VERY short supply.

As for only having 3 models left (still more than most), why do you think Yamaha has been pumping out new quads every year? The Rappy will take over the Shees spot

The Rappy is in a class all by itself!

I would suppose the 450 is the Banshee replacement! With all of the mods and time that they put into it. If there was no 450 the Banshee would still be around.

that would be sweet to see the 250 f motor in the blaster do you guys think it would go faster than the 2 stroke blaster and what not because of the more cc or would it be about the same as it is now i would buy one if they made one and get rid of my crappy 250 ex that does like 50

I was reading Popular Mechanics about 1-2 years ago and i came across a CLEAN 2-Stroke engine (i'm not sure if you guys heard of this). It used straight gas. I'm trying to find the article but i havn't found it yet but it was really really sweet! That'll save the 2-Stroke.
Here is the article from Popular Mechanics

I think it's all still BS..Just like I said before, everyone thought the YFZ was gonna change in 05..people were convinced it was gonna happen...I think we all know what happened to that..
Even if they ban their production, it dosn't mean you cant use the one you have now...
Plus all the rules/regulations only exist in the USA, nothing has even been said about emmisions in canada...yet.
