Good work Scooby....that does give some rough numbers (since it is a different application in a different state of tune). Also, did anyone notice in the latest 4-wheel ATV action that Yamaha will be making some performace parts for the Raptor. The article said that they will be selling a headpipe-silencer(aluminum and carbon fiber)-front bumper-and some other misc. stuff. Since Yamaha could'nt really be topped (performance wise) with their factory 4-Stroke 400-426 efforts, I'll be leaning their way when performance upgrades are wanted (if necessary).

Did any one remeber to compensate from European HP to SAE american horsepower? Isnt there a difference?
Also one more thing SCOOBY if you get one Please leave the engine STOCK, I saw all the probs you have with your modiFRIED DS650. Just ride it stock for a year or so by then they will be plenty of reputable companies (unlike Ron WoodS) who will have parts, im not saying dont do tires, sprockets, bars or any of that, just stay away from carbs and pipes for the time being unless they are GYT genuine yamaha tuning.

By the way where's the DS?, why isnt anyone riding them on the MX or GNCC pro level? Atleast the Raptor has a few Pros waiting to jump on one next season!

Scooby after reading all of your problems in the Bombardier forum way back when you first installed that stage 2 kit I dont think ill be the first to change anything on the Raptor. You had soooo much trouble with jetting on that carb just imagine messing with 2 on the Raptor.Personally I will probably leave mine stock because man this thing is way to fast right out of the crate.I think the only people that would wanna beef this thing up would be the duners.Im putting the 12 tooth on tommorow and im thinking that I will also have to go larger in the rear also.Any sugestions on this guys?

The GYT silencer would be nice, but I'm going to wait until they are done with the headpipe as well. Then there might be a package deal, or at least we'll know what kind of power it will put out. Don't think that there aren't others out there that haven't modified their Raptor yet, they just aren't on this board.

The next few months will be interesting to see what comes out from the aftermarket companies.

Hello X250RDude,

I've been meaning to call you, Let me know how that 12 tooth sproket works out for you. I'm very curious. I'm keeping my bike completely stock for now, with the exception of changing the handlebars, GYT-R front bumper, GYT-R headlight guard, GYT-R Yamaha shock covers, GYT-R front A-Arm plates

This is true, European horses are smaller, the charts are useless....

I don't think there is any HP conversion necessary.
