i was in the same exact situation as you. I fixed my rappy now it runs like a gem!!! beautiful... i crashed into a tree and completely smashed the front end. now it runs like a beast. Its awesome. Raptors are great quads.. if you sell it go for a 450 ex or yfz 450 or even for a change banshee. The 400r is a big step down from a raptor the Z is alright but i wouldn't get that! The weight on that is weird to me!!!

 

Sounds to me like you need to take better care of your stuff.

 

You'll be dissapointed if you go from a raptor to a 400EX if you enjoy power and going fast. If handling is MUCH more important to you, then you'll be alright with the 400EX. It's a good bike, especially for chicks.

Me... I only ride quads to haul ***, jump things, do power wheelies, climb stuff and get thrills. It would be the same for me driving a golf cart as a 400EX.

 

I agree Master, though I only wish I had the dough you do to put those kind o fmods into my raptor. Oh well one day Isuppose, if I don't buy a banshee before hand.

id rather have a 416EX then a 440 bigbore aswell

 

I have an 01 raptor and my tranny is fine and i ride hard.... its just how u treat the quad, if u beat it then it wont work right,so treat your quad right and it will last a long time.Ide go witht he raptor,pt the money into the quad and keep it nice and u wont have to pay alot for broken parts
