i cant decide what i want to do.. sell my raptor for a 4ooex or put quite a bit of money in my raptor.. the 400ex isnt as fast. but with my raptor ts an 01 kinda beat up i haveto get new front tires.. also fix something wrong with the front end.. new chain possibly new sprockets , a new seel and a headlight cover or should i get a 400ex, basically stock 02 yellow.. any ideas?¿

 

u dont want a 400 ex, jus put some money into that raptor, whats wrong, the tranny?

 

no tranny sint bad, im gonna need a new axle soon to- whats wrong with an ex..

 

instead of an ex go with a z400. i hear there alot faster thatn exs. and ive rode z-400s, a lil mods that thing can be wicked fast!

If your used to the speed of the raptor then going to a 400 would be a step down. But a 400 is a good bike. I would sell the 2001 and get a 2005 Raptor with a better tranny! but if money is an issue i would fix up the 2001 as long as you have never experienced a tranny problem.

 

Sell the 01, you dont want to have to worry about the tranny going out and having to spend 600 bucks plus labor to get it going again. I dont care what you replace it with, but I wouldnt want that possibility over my head.

 

Not everyone has tranny problem's...I know of 3 01's, all with built motor's...two with NOS, that have never had a problem.



And before I would get a 400ex, I would fix any problem on a Raptor.

 

i say get the 400ex

the honda 400 will give you a chance to save some $$$ for a larger bike

the raptor will just keep eating your $$$
