Default K&N filter oil

Hey, I use alot of filter oil on these K&N's of mine. Is there a cheaper solution. I mean this oil looks pretty much like automatic transmission fluid. Has anyone ever tried that?

You can get it cheaper if you buy in bulk from Autozone. You can get oil in 24 oz cans and the cleaner in gallon jugs.
