Default Worth Trading for a YFZ!

I think i really want a YFZ...hopefully i could trade straight across for a YFZ at the dealership, or if they wont give me jack for it i would just ebay for prolly 7500 and get it fairly quick considering i would be eating a good 6+ grand prolly alot more....

Is the YFZ really a good Trail bike???? Is this worth it before i have anymore problems?

Default Worth Trading for a YFZ!

Ive raced my raptor against some yfz's in the woods at St.Joe state park on the perimeter trail about a week ago. I kept right up with them no problems at all. They do look like they handle better on the tight trails. They looked like they had a bit more pep coming out of corners due to the handling though. But they were small riders, about 5'6 150. Im 300 lbs 6'2. I thought I was going to purchase one before I bought my raptor660. I sat on one and it felt like i was back on my warrior. Unless your a serious racer I don't see any point in buying one just my 2 cents. I like my top speed, light front end that comes up with ease, I like my reverse, handles just fine for me, it just took a little of getting use to it. there was a big difference going from a warrior to a rapor. Im totally happy with it other than losing 2,500 on my trade in. I traded a 04 warrior that was fully tricked out for the 04 raptor at a dealership. But im finally happy with my quad. I ride mostly woods, logging roads, sand flats, and small hills. My 2 cents both are great quads from what every one says. They do rap out quicker. But my raptor fits me fine.

04 raptor, dg skids

If your not racing mx then I would stick with your raptor man.....Your raptor sounds bad *** and you probably wouldn't be able to get all thats its worth if you sold it or traded it. I would stick with your rappy but thats just my opinion.

You will loose your rear end in that trade. I like the YFZ as well but, why would you trade down. Your bike should be faster than a YFZ and, you'll be starting back at square one. Unless your gonna get into motocross heavily i'd stay with your tricked out Raptor.

I was weighing this same deal out before i got my 686 done. Now there is no fourstroke that will keep up with me they i've seen. Yfz are a far cry now. My buddy has an 04 YFZ with GYT-R exhaust, ProFlow w/ K&N and, the cam mod and, has no prayer (i out weigh him by 40 pounds too).

unless you feel like loosing a bunch of $ and, then having to pour a ton into the new ride, i'd stay on the Raptor!
