Default Where Can I Get Bored!

I want to get my engine bored out. I don't know what size but i need to find a place in the NY, Long Island Area around there. About how much is it to get bored? Also please give me some suggestions on good pistons and a good bore size. Thank you.

Be carefull what you wish for......lol. There may be some guys on here that can tell ya but did you check the phone book...and is it a Blaster that you are building? I know they make a 240 kit for that which kicks some major as$..call the dealer in your area and ask if the may know a good place to have it done.

How about watching the food channel or PBS But, of course, you can't get bored here on ATV Connections

Are you boreing it for power or because it needs a rebuild? IF for power get a big bore. If for rebuild bore as lil as needed. You only get to bore to .080 I belive and then you need new cylinders. ALso at .080 your only gettiing like 2 hp. Its a wast of good bores and a cylinder. ON a 2 stroke it you want power you want a port or a big bore.

when i had my blaster bored it was 30 to hone 30 to bore and i went 30 over. I no someone that went as far ar 70 over. For where to get it done look for a machine shop in the phonebook or go to a quad store and ask where they get it done. For a piston i like weisco but u got to let them warm up.

my wiseco doesnt hav eto warm up at all??? i turn it on back it up and its warm.

also i woudnt have a machine shop do it unless u have the wiseco for them to look at. wiseco requires certain cylinder walll clearance for it to work right thats why u usually have people that work on thes quads for a living do it. i no i paid 40 for a bore and hone from RCR and they also do yamaha www.rittercycle.com
