Wow, no one can type coherently in this thread.

2 strokes are a bad idea for a 4x4 in general. The lack of low and midrange torque in a banshee engine really makes this a foolish endeavour. Polaris does have a 400cc 2 stroke 4x4 called the scrambler that I believe they still sell new. If you really want a 2 stroke 4x4 I would check one of those out before I decided to start swapping engines.

Making a banshee powered wolverine would require massive modifications to the drive train. Do you know how he should make the banshee engine engage and turn the wolverine driveshaft? Maybe he should replace the whole rear end to that of the banshee. At that point, how are you going to tap in and get the front end power? I am trying to help this person understand that this idea, while original, is not practical and would be only barely feasible. I am being helpful, I am letting this person know that this is not a project that would yield acceptable results in relation to the time, effort, and money it would require, assuming it could be completed in a reasonable timeline at all. The rider wants a 2 stroke 4x4 atv, so I pointed him in the direction of one that is already built from the factory. With the time and money he would spend putting the banshee powerplant into a wolverine chassis, he could make a 400 scrambler 4x4 that would out perform a regular stock banshee.

If you have any issues with my previous 3000 some odd posts, please point them out to me and I will review and reconsider anything you feel needs attention.
