When should I need a valve adjustment ?

Hey I bought my warrior in April of this year and was wondering when i will need the valves to be tightned ??

when they start ticking.... but ive had the opposite problem, my valves tighten up, and the it doesnt start up........ either way, they get adjusted

iam kinda hearing a ticking noise from the motor. Will it be ok if i ride it all day tommrow w/ it like this ?

Should be, it just gets really annoying after awhile
