i get the point from all of u....its just as i thought, and makes me like the predator less and less.....i really like the YFZ, and am torn between it and the Improvements on the 05Z400...i dont feel the 450R is up to par on the YFZ and the kickstart just leaves little to be desired by me....even though it has the hotstart....

Im debating givin yamaha another chance and commin back with a YFZ...due to the fact that most of my probs were dealer related and most likely not yamaha's

A YFZ Produces more HP then both the Raptor and Shee in Stock Trim so what r u talking about. The YFZ does not blow them away either.

The predator never maid the 42 hp dirtwheels claimed, and I doubt they somehow are now making 8 more hp. Remember, the zilla weighed considerably more than 350 pounds, and it made about 50hp stock. When I see a stock 05 pred outrun a stock zilla, I'll believe it.

 

i believe that 50 hp was from teh tld pred wit slicks on the tires and i believe it had a wb pure polaris pipe and jetterd...atleast thats what i though i heard... but yes the rpms were boosted to 9000 stock

They do that to every sport quad before they are released these days.
Remember the 450R having 53rwhp before it came out?

 

Its just to make some sales on the quad. Besides when i see the numbers i will believe it rumors are just like a blindfolded driver you will never know what direction they will take.

 

The 50 hp numbers were posted by Polaris at the Anniversary party. These were not numbers someone thought they heard. I don't know how true it is, but it was pretty bold for Polaris to say there Predator has 50HP.

 

this weekend I was riding with my 2 friends that own 04 predators and I was bout to kill them. I wish every single person who has an atv would go to this site so they wouldn't be so ignorant. Ok, they were talking about how predators come stock with 50hp and that the honda 450R and yamaha YFZ450 "couldn't touch it on the track". LMAO, wow I rode my friends around for a few hours and these things are jokes. 50 horsepower my a$$! I bet these things are in the high 30's. the only thing good goin for them is they have nice suspension but they are really heavy feeling and the seat has a lump in it or somthing cuz you sit so far forward in it.

 

yah i donno bout all these predators...no one around me owns one!
