pinhead,

If you cash the check thru your bank he gets the quad and the excess and your holding a bad check and no quad. It is a classic scam that usually they say you can keep the extra money and then you are just out of the quad, but in this case he is greedy and wants it all.

SCAM,SCAM.

Find somebody that has cash and make sure it is not funny money.

Just by doing a scam check on this site you should see quite afew different ways that they try to get your hard earned property.

As for about you being worried that he wants your photos for an EBAY scam, I would not worry about that, since all he has to do is get them off your personal page or anyone's else for that matter.

Another way to check up on this type of scam is by calling the FBI, they have a dept just for internet scammers.

You are better of relisting the item and finding a more legit buyer or sell it locally just examine the buyer as much as possible before you come to an agreement.

Yea dude it's a scam. A friend of mines sister sold a boat overseas to another country and got the check she put it in the bank then when she went to cash it it was invalid. I don't think they ever got it back.

tell him to wire the money to your bank, (not your bank account) or have him send a money order... That or tell him you have to wait til his check clears at your bank, before you will ship the quad. If you're worried about him knowing your location, then get a P.O. box at like Mailbox Etc., or something....
