#1
When I start my warrior it smokes for about a minute (until it gets warmed) up and then it’s fine, it only dose this when it hasn't bean started for a day. Any ideas on what this is or on how to fix it?

my take on this is that when you first start it up the cylinder and plug are all cold still. and until it warms up the cylinder walls and the valves and all that good stuff. the engine is not at premo running temp so it doesnt burn as cleanly. but once it warms up it starts running cleaner.. but i dont think you can do anything about it, i dont think they make block heaters for quads

Oil is getting past the valves, and being burned in the combustion chamber. As the engine warms up the valves seat better, and the oil burning stops. You might be able to fix the problem by being sure your valve lash is adjusted properly. Either that, or just don't worry about it since the problem goes away once the engine warms up. This is something that is actually quite common with that old tech Warrior motor, and also with the Wolverine motor.

Its possibly the rings if its oil smoke. Whats probably happening is that the rings are scored a little and it smokes when cold until the engine gets warm enough for the metal to expand and then the rings seat up good, hense the smoking going away. This could be a result of something as simple as no enough break in time before hard riding.

the person who built the motor probably built it loose so when it is cold it smokes cause of oil getting burned and when it warms the rings seat better and it stops smokin and it is built loose so when the motor gets hot it is not as easy to sieze up
