Graphics didn't change and I don't know what your meaning by the decompression plug. What did they change about it? It doesn't say that anywhere I've read.

im pretty sure the graphics did change a bit. I cant really remember because i ripped all mine off but i think they are a tad different.

The decompression plug is the plug that the dirtbikes use for the hotstart button. Since the yfz450 doesnt come with a kickstart only like the dirtbike we dont have the hotstart. So they put a plug in the spot it would usually go. On the 04 model they put a cheap plastic plug in there that blew out on a lot of quads. This would cause for oil to spew everywhere. They fixed this on the 05 model.

The graphics didn't change and the decompression plug is used for starting, not only for kick but electric also. The hotstart is compatable on the YFZ but it has nothing to do with the compression plug. The plug lets out the compression in the cylinder when starting so it can turn back over without putting extra strain on the starting system and/or making it easier to kick over because of the compression leak the plug provides.

Bubba, the graphics on the 05 White and Red 450's changed, the blue models stayed the same.

The decompression plug was changed as stated, and also a softer seat.

New for 2005:

A new, seat increases comfort over the course of long motos and has a non-slip surface.

Revised front suspension settings for improved bump absorption, and reduced rider fatigue.

Aluminum alloy shift and rear brake levers are lighter, and provide a more positive feel.

And, LMAO @ the Raptor hp gains!

bigbubba,
good job at trying to make me sound stupid. But i think i know what im talking about. Do your research before you try and prove someone wrong.

they no longer have a plastic plug in the decompression hole. Its now bilet. Like the aftermarket one i had to buy.
