that was with stock tires. I haven't GPS'd it with the 27's on. As far as the speedometer is concerned. I can get to 69 downhill with stockers and its bouncing the rev limiter. Normally just makes it to 68 though. With the 27's, it makes it to 61 on the speedometer. I need to GPS it with the big tires and find out for sure.

My wife and I each have '04 Grizzlys, with hers having 25" tires and mine having 27" tires. When they both had 25" tires they would both top out at 64 mph on the speedometer. Now they both top out at the exact same speed, and will stay side by side for miles at full throttle on a flat gravel road, but the speedometer on the Grizzly with 25" tires says it is going 64 mph, and the speedometer on the Grizzly with 27" tires says it is going 55 mph.
So being as Andy's Grizzly goes 61 mph with 27" tires, his Grizzly is 6 mph faster than my Grizzly, with both of us using 27" tires. That is a big difference in machine to machine variability. And I thought my Grizzly ran great, too bad it doesn't run as good as his

that 61 is when its wound out with the 27's. Not something that I will reach each and every time. More like 58-59 with the 27's most of the time. I've hit 61 a few times, but the sitation has to be right to do it. But keep in mind it does have the pipe and jet kit, and it reaches those speeds a lot quicker and more frequently than it did when it was stock.
When it was stock, the best I ever got downhill was 67, and I also GPS'd it stock and it did 65 speedo and 60 on the GPS.

If your HMF exhaust made as much difference on your Grizzly as mine made on my DS650 then I'm sure you get your Grizzly wound right up to the rev limiter a whole lot easier than I do my stock exhaust Grizzly. I couldn't hit the rev limiter in fourth gear with the stock exhaust on my DS, but now I routinely hit the rev limiter in fifth gear, so it makes a big difference. Also, do you have a clutch kit in your Grizzly? The changes in overall gearing from clutch kits will be just as much as from an exhaust. I have a Dalton Pro clutch kit that has been modified by running half stock clutch weights and half Dalton clutch weights on my Grizzly. It surprised me that with the 27" tires and the modified clutch kit I ended up with the exact same top endon my Grizzly as my wife's stock Grizzly. I probably couldn't have done that if I had tried to.
