RED 2001 Kodiak 4x4
#1
My local Yamaha dealer (in Michigan) says they can't get a red 2001 Kodiak 4x4, only green and beige. They said Yamaha hasn't made that color yet in full production. Anyone bought a red one or found this to be true?

My local dealer had one last week. It was identical to the red 2000 on the floor except it had a speedometer, gray wheels and a gray bumper verses the black wheels and bumper on the 2000.
It was there on Monday and sold by Saturday.

It's all a big marketing scam.. last year everyone in Canada(including me) wanted a blue kodiak and no one wanted the red ones.. Now there's tons of red plastic left over from last year and there trying to sell it on the 2001's. If they told people they were out of green platic(and next year they will), they would be a huge seller.
2000 Kodiak, blue
26" 12X12 and 9X12 Bear claws
2000 lbs WARN winch
55 W halogens(not in pic)

Hey Ben,
Their just trying to sell you what they have on the floor. I looked high and low for a tan 2001 and couldn't find one out this way. Red and green are everywhere! Ask you dealer to do a dealer to dealer search by computer, it searches out all other's inventory. If he really wants your business he'll help. I gave up on all my local dealers cause they'd only sell me stock. I used Yamaha's Dealer Locator and started making calls. I found a tan 2000 one hour from home and the dealer promised to have the $69.00 winch on it in two hours for a good price! Don't believe everythin they tell you, find yourself a good dealer. Make them work for the sale.
Good luck, damguy
