YFZ throttle...
#1
I read all the complaints about the throttle being too stiff on the stock 450 in the magazines, and it's true. Is there a way to soften it up, or any recomendations for aftermarket thumb throttles?

I'm looking for a solution too. My mechanic tells me to get a twist throttle, but I had a really bad experience with a quad and twist throttle before. Not really looking forward to having to do that again...
bummer.

I'll probably get flamed for this, but.....
I have a honda throttle on the craptor and the yfz. The honda throttle isn't as stiff and is more ergonomically(sp?) correct, so your thumb doesn't cramp up so bad...
just get an after market throttle cover so you don't have "honda" showing on your Yamaha

I had the same problem and tried a twist but hated it. I bought a $15 aftermarket extender and I'm fine with that. You will really notice the difference when you are riding wide open for a while, it really gives you alot more leverage and my thumb wont hurt at all on the average ride.
