From my understanding is that grip glue is what u put on the grips so your glove stick better...

Default *~* GRIPS QUESTION *~*

I just put the grip glue on the bar then slid the grip on. It is tough to due but keep pushing until it is on. If you have gel grips or ones that have to be on a certain way then do not twist the grip on because it might end up out of position. It is tough but I go mine on that way. If you have some paint thinner you can use a little bit of that to help teh gip on because it will make the glue more liquid, then dry with the glue.

I tried the grip glue and it lasted about a half hour before the grips started twisting. The best way i have found to put grips on is.
1. wrap a layer of electrical tape around the handle bars where the grips go.
2. Fill the grip up with gas. let it set in there for 15 seconds or so, then dump it out.
3. Slide the grip on, It should slide on very easy.
4. let it set for an hour or so.

The gas melts the tape and the rubber together and makes the grips stick extremely well. In fact I normally have to cut them off when they wear out.

I have never had that problem with the grip glue, but will remember your suggestion since I always have that stuff around the house.

I let mine set over night since I did it the night before I was leaving for a ride. Mine are still good.
