banshee guroos, I need your help.

I have just bought a stock banshee that I have been trying to tune in for the dunes. I have been getting blue smoke out of the clutch side pipe and hardly any out of the other. so I had the carbs cleaned and both carbs sinced. only now there is more out of the same pipe and the others fine. I checked to see if the float bowl was stuck, checked the air fuel screws, and checked that they both are working together. what do you think it could be?

It's hard to say...95 psi is a little low for a banshee...was that compression check done hot or cold? You should be around 120-130 each for a stock bike.... Your sure both plugs are good? gapped the same? tube between the carbs is hooked up? positive there is no gunk in the carbs. .
what does the bike do if you try to run it with the choke partially on? Make absolutely sure both carbs are in sync with each other. Have you changed mixture or gas?
It sounds like you checked it out.... I'm just asking the normal questions I would ask anyone with a banshee running problem.

I did the comp check when it was cold. I did it only about 4 kicks. I did find today that the air screw on the smoke side was harder to turn then normal. Im going to start there and the with new plugs gapped. Ive checked everything else. if its not either of these then I might look at a bad crank seal or something.
I did check the sync of both carbs. both have the same space at the bottom. the only time it ran better with the choke out was last weekend when it got real cold at night and the shee started to lean out. I pulled the choke to load her up.

95 Lbs, I'm also thinking it needs a rebuild. I'd do another (cold) compression check. "Hold the thottle wide open" while kicking. Kick untill the needle moves to the highest point. If your still at 95 I'd pull the cylinders and check the pistons. rings and cylinders for wear. If worn rebuild the top end. Better to catch it now before it ceases/grenades. If the cylinders and pistons are good you might get away with just ringsn and gaskets.

well, I pretty much ruled out carbs, wiring, and everything else. I did do a better compresion test and still got 95. so I went ahead and pulled the head and cylinders. they look real good with no scoring or visable damage. piston wash looks perfect. however, the rings do look like theyve been worked over like a spare rib. onw was sticking abit in the channel. I think I might just nut up and rebuild with a piston power set from vito's. any recomendations? My bro in law says to just run it till the snow flies but I dont want to risk it.
