If you want to keep your top end speed up go with the 22 x 11x 8 . 8 paddle Haulers on 8x8 rims they have a nice round over and they grow like crazy at high speed and then you only have the top of the crown in the sand . Ive seen them on 450's pulling choke in 3rd gear as for the 20's they sit to flat and have a lot more resistance on top end .
P.S. Run them at about 3.5 PSI

For an awesome all purpose paddle tire the Extreme Haulers are absolutly great! 20x10x10 9 paddle haulers should be about perfect for a YFZ.

My buddies YFZ slowed WAY down going up Olds hill will 20" 10 paddle Haulers. Too much paddle. The YFZ needs wheel speed to be fast. Switching to 8 paddles picked the speed up. With the 10 paddles, my 416EX is a dead heat for him. With the 8 paddles, he crushes me by about 8-10 lengths.
Is this YFZ stock? I don't think I'll have a problem pushing them, people have been using 8 paddle tires for the Warrior since they came out. If 8 paddles work good on a Warrior why would you put them on a YFZ which has 20+ more HP?! I was using those 9 paddle haulers and I felt I could get more traction still...we'll see when I go ride next.

I'm not sure I would call third gear "top end". Bit I see your point about speed while hillshooting. It is a bit of a trade off though, because the rounder profile taller paddle will have more top end speed, but the shorter flatter paddle will slide better in corners. Every time we go to the dunes it seems like we end up marking out a "motocross course" on the dunes, and start doing some motocross racing. We usually have several other sport quads join in by the time we are done, and it is a lot of fun. The 20x10-9 eight paddle Haulers work good for motocrossing in the dunes, as well as hillshooting, and drag racing.

My buddies YFZ is piped/airboxed/jetted. Most people over-paddle their bikes. Ever notice the SPARKS bikes (you know the consistent 4SW winners) only use 6 and 7 paddle Haulers? Wheel speed is what gets you up the hill faster. I've tried 10's on my Rappy and it's consistently faster with my current 22x11x8 8 paddles. More paddles will get you off the line faster. But they'll slow you down on the top end.

You guys should try out the sand stars, they don't cost near as much has the haulers but they grip almost as well, turn way better and roost like crazy. I have them on my 250r and my yfz and they work great. 20-11-10

Like RAPTORAZ said most people counting me! "over paddle"
I have 22x11x8 with 9 paddles haulers they work great for taking off and straight line. But swinging the back end aroung is all most imposible. On my wife's bike we are going to go with 22x11x8 eight paddle or a seven paddle.

After trying other paddle tires the money for the haulers are well woth it.

When I am crusing I have a rooster tail about 20' back no one follows me unless they are way back.
