Gumby from my riding group also has the same problem. Its like cruise control. You let off the throttle and the bike still goes.

I had "possibly" the same problem. I went over backwards on a hill climb and apparently got some sand in my cable. It was kinda wierd in the fact that it became "VERY VERY easy to hit the push the throttle open. When I took it nback to camp and inspected it, I founf that the cable was stuck in the housing, but my quad was not running WFO. I am still not sure why my cable was sticking, but I wasnt getting a "stuck throttle situation". At any rate, I sprayed some carb cleaner or something down the end, unstuck the actual cable, and havent had a problem sisnce. I recommend doing the same.

Cruise Control for my new 01 Raptor as well!!!

Started today, the ATV has < 30 Hours on it and don't ride very hard.

Sprayed WD-40 under Throttle Plate & by all moving carb parts (that joins the 2 carbs in my case) and it worked ok for a day but is starting to stick again although not as bad as it did originally.

I thought it may have been the cable but removing the cable and just moving the throttle action on the carb still binds.

Not sure where to go from here by trying to avoid costly visit to the dealer and don't feel brave enough to separate/open both carbs.
