Default banshee question

Hey guys, just wanted to ask a couple quick questions in regards to a completely stock banshee, and one with pipes and a boost bottle on it. I just picked up a mint 98 banshee with all stock parts, the guy said he had about 25-35 hours on it. Alright, so got to drive it today and to be honest, it seems really flat compared to my other banshee that has fmf pipes and a boost bottle on it. The piped one will rip your damn arms off but this stock one seems quite tame. The stock one also idles extremely low and of course that can be adjusted but im hoping i dont already have to put a new top end on it. The guy seemed very nice and trusting but im just wondering if there's THAT much of a difference from piped/stock. Im going to get a compression test done, since i dont have anyone to help me hold that ill have to stop by a dealership. Anyways let me know what you think.

thanks

It seems a lot less than the piped one thats for sure. The difference is night and day without question. I have a raptor as well and it feels like a tractor pulling compared to this one. There has been absolutely no mods to it whatsoever, the bike looks like its been on a showroom floor since new, but I have a feeling it may have some more hours on it than was said. I dunno, i could be wrong though, but it seemed like it had a lot less power than what a factory fresh motor should have.

I had stock pipes on my shee for a whole year. Most likely it is just the pipes. I have said the difference is "night and day" myself.

I really hope thats all. The trick is, i love the sound of those stock pipes! I hate how loud those fmf pipes are on my banshee, if i could have a super quiet pipe like that on the aftermarket side of things, I'd buy em, but those stock pipes are nice and quiet, just love it!

If the jetting is wrong it will run like a dog, just a suggestion. FYI, my old 89 bone stock Banshee used to beat FMF piped Banshees up comp hill at Dumont back in the day.

this take a little work but it will get you your answer that the pipes off our put it on the one u jsut bought and the boost bottle and carb now see if it pulls like the other one. I mean there the same biek should react the same too.

Default banshee question

Got the bike out today, and the bike wouldnt start. I switched up to the yamalube 32:1 (went to that from the amsoil 50:1). Anyways, took the plugs out, they appear to be the plugs from the factory, they were fouled out and have been like that for a long time. Weird thing is, when i was driving it the plug seemed clean, oh well. Anyways cleaned it off, heated em and put them back in, same results, wont even fire up. Im under the impression that the plugs could be the problem, however, im wondering about the tors system as well. The throttle is very easy to push in, unlike any other banshee ive been on. When it stops raining, ill get to it and check into it and grab some new plugs, then give it a go. For now, its not starting and im getting
