Almost any bike spedometer will work. Many ATV speedos are just glorified bike speedos. The tricks are:
1) Setup tire size correctly.
2) How to mount magnet and pick-up? May be difficult on your ATV, since most bike speedo have magnets that attach to tire sprokes.

the one he is looking at wont work because its made for a mountain bike( bicycle)
and it will be a problem trying to find spokes on a quad wheel
most atv speedos work with the magnet mounted to the brake rotor bolts
I know all about that I went through the same problem as he is doing right now
when I was looking for mine
good luck with it. and if you figure how to get it to work on a atv great
lets us know it would be a lot cheaper to use

Ummm...no. A speedo for running would not register vehicle speed and I don't believe that a bicycle speedo would be able to keep up with the acceleration and speed of an ATV but then again, maybe it would, only one way to find out. The most reliable speedo would be one made specifically for ATV's...do a search, I'm sure something viable will show up.

I agree that buying an ATV specific Speedo is easiest and probably more rugged. I've also taken a bike speedo I had laying around and put it on an ATV. I used epoxy to mount the magnet on the inside of the rim. I mounted the pickup to the front brake rotor mud shield. Worked like a champ.

I've seen ATV speedos on eBay too, which were nothing more than a bike speedo with an extra magnet (that mounts to the brake rotor).
