Default How to clean the carbs on 2 strokes???

Can someone please tell me how I should go about cleaning the carbs on a 2 stroke engine?

Maybe include a tool for cleaning if any and a liquid or some type of cleaner or lubricant, motor oil/gas/ect.

It would be very much appreciated because I am alot better rider than I am mechanic so im trying to learn a little to help even my skills out...

You can pick-up some carb cleaner at a local shop, that usually does the trick. They are pretty basic to remove and re-install so you shouldn't have any major problems.

Would anything else work that I may have laying around the house other than actual cleaner?

I wouldn't just going spraying household cleaners into your carb., buck up and buy a can of carb. cleaner, it's like two dollars!

a good can of ether (starting fluid) will do the trick and spray through every part of that carb. even let sum settle in ur carb bowl for a little bit.

My advice would be to take the whole thing apart. Remove all rubber and the floats. Hose it down with B12, then add some compressed air.
