What about the Kaw. kfx700 .My buddy has one . It's good on trails but auto trans takes getting used to plus you are'nt going to throw that monster around. But I had a blast riding it. It's just another option -Z vs rappy vs yfz vs kfx. When will they make that perfect quad?

 

well the closest to the perfect quad IMO is the 2005 polaris predator (tld to be exact).Look it has great suspension,handling,power,and reverse,but isn't the most comfortable.

 

I have ridden Z400's, Vforces and own a Raptor. My second quad would be the Z if I had a choice. The VFORCE is a good hill climber and trail quad and I would not recommend high jumping it without suspension mods.

 

The Z is one of those quads that isn't the best at anything, but is good at everything and the 05's have some nice upgrades that will only make a great quad better.

 

Never called lately, but Raptors were going as follows: 04's $5290/05's $5399. Z's are somewhere like $5600. Anyone else with prices?

 

I own both bikes and got them both (04) for the same price. First it depends on your weight and what you wan to do with it. The Z can be rmodified and raced at the tracks, because it's under 500cc's. It handles well and is reliable. But the Raptor is fast and great in the sand. It's the fastest bang for the buck sitting stock it will blow away the Z. Both great value, but I'd go with the 660R for the price!

My brother in law just picked up an 04 Z for $4999. It ended up being around $5400 something otd.

 

im also in the same boat. id say get whichever one you can find for the best price thats what im doin, though im leaning towards a raptor since i mostly ride sand

 

I've failed to mention price lists of $5290/$5399 are OTD prices for the Raptors....
